BIG DRAW (day #11) and ARTOBER

This took so much concentration (mostly I couldn't see what I was doing, as my glasses were on the table).

So, I was very proud of the result!

I adore African (and Aboriginal) art.

As it is yet another sunny day here in London, I have posted this joyful piece. (I always seem to draw three figures, not sure why!)

Have a wonderful weekend wherever you are in this crazy world of ours!

Well, it is wonderful to discover these other aspects of you. I especially like your work with paints and colors. The image on the header is a stunner.

I love your African ladies! I know you like the colors of Africa also...You know what I like...the colors of Mexico! I think I have a bit of both african and mexican in me sometimes!

Oh, you did a great job on the top drawing as well...especially since you were blind while doing it! Don't you have a second pair of glasses laying around somewhere (just to draw)??? LOLOL.

As usual, lovely both of them. the charcoal drawing is very good, the weasel would be proud of you. And of course, your abo drawing s are great. I think that 3 is sort of a magic number, an odd number but oddly satisfying.
hope all is well, it's been busy hasn't it?

I couldn't draw a thing without my glasses, unless it was perched on my nose. So - extra applause to you!

The African women are wonderful - such warm and vibrant colors!

Soulbrush, I am enjoying seeing your artwork. Did you draw the second image too?

I have posted my favourite things, thanks for tagging me, that was fun. It also gave me a really bad craving for chocolate (who am I to deny these cravings..? LOL!)

Hoi Sb!
Jouw tekening is erg mooi! Ik ga even helemaal lekker relaxen!
Marianne

These are both really terrific SB.
Funny about drawing your glasses without glasses to SEE what you are drawing...you sure did it well.

And the second one, the three figures of African art is just wonderful. Yes, Sunny, Bright, Happy, Joyful. Delightful.

I am so impressed you did this without your glasses! I would have nothing but smudges. They are both beautiful.

WOW. This is very good. I know what you mean tho about concentrating really hard. mine today I did quickly tho. so not as good as could have been. I dedicated it to you... I had another one going but you know I HAD to do this one. :))
Maybe you do three figures because there are three of you in your family. Hubby, Son and you...?.. Love the drawing/colors of your African women... Very lovely work.

Your sketch is wonderful, especially considering you couldn't see!

Love your African art too. There is a store here in the states that specializes in imported arts and crafts. Maybe you've heard of it in England. It is called World Market. I love to browse that place. Very interesting stuff.

Interesting experiment to draw without glasses. Things came out pretty clear despite that. Of course, do love your African paintings, the colors and forms. Three is the aesthetic balance # in Japanese/Chinese art (or any art) is it not.?
