I was sitting in the car waiting for my husband a few weeks ago, and watching this pigeon on the rooftop. He sat there for ages and ages and ages not moving.
Suddenly, another bird caught his eye and he turned 90 degrees, as if to say, 'Hey buddy, wait for me!' Then followed the bird in flight....
Happy Skywatch Friday everyone. For more awesome photos of skies round the world, see: http://skyley.blogspot.com/

It is definitely interesting to watch birds, especially how they can all be flying one way and then all of a sudden, they all switch directions and then two seconds later switch directions again. Happy Skywatch Friday:)
Happy flying then!
I am a bird watcher; Last year I saw a pelican flying over Lake Pleasant in Arizona. I didn't have my camera but I'll never forget; it's in my mind's eye. There is a tree on my way home from work that always has about 50 birds perched on the very top. I look every day to see what kinds are there and it's the only time I hope for a red light.
Very minimalist. I like the cleanness of it.
Share eye you have and patience too.
Neat moment to share along with the pics:)
Whew....I thought he was going to jump! Lovely blue skies....Apollo says hello!
Gee, those skies look kind of grey, must be full of more snow. The bird better head south :)
Birds are fun to watch as is the sky! Happy SWF. Hi from rainy California.
Great capture and story - my friend.
I laughed out loud at "artist unplugged" comment. If the bird jumped, wouldn't he just fly?? LOL!!
The skies look ominous SB. Maybe that was when all that snow was coming!
hugs and wfs!!
Interesting story Soul. That sky really makes the pigeon shine.
Pigeons have amazing eye sight. The two of them were probably off to eat a french fry (chip) someone accidentally dropped. ;-)
