Animal Wednesday (#64) Maggie's Book

Maggie will be 6 months old on Friday.

This is the 'pop-up' book I made for her.
(I painted the pages with bright acrylics and wrote the story- words below- song's tune: Baa Baa Black Sheep.)

“Hello Maggie
My Name is ‘Caw Caw Big Bird’.
Do you want to be my friend?
I am big and green and feathery.
My eyes are yellow and pink.
I am very kind and gentle.
I have a huge yellow and orange beak.
I say ‘Caw, Caw, Caw.’

I can sing my happy song:
‘Caw, caw, big bird, have you any friends?
Yes, sir, yes sir, Maggie is my friend.
One - cos she loves me.
Two - cos I am kind.
Three - cos I love her back and she is on my mind.’
Caw, Caw, Caw
Byeeee Maggie.”

I am very big and orangey red.
My eyes are black and green.
I am very kind and gentle.
I have a huge golden yellow beak
I say ‘Oz, oz, Oz’

Yes, sir, yes sir, Maggie is my friend.
One - cos she loves me
Two - cos I am kind
Three - cos I love her back and she is on my mind.’

My eyes are blue and sad looking,
But I am not sad at all.
I am very kind and gentle.
I have a huge bright yellow beak.

I can sing my happy song:

‘Bra, Bra, black bird, have you any friends?
Yes, sir, yes sir, Maggie is my friend.
One - cos she loves me.
Two - cos I am kind.
Three - cos I love her back and she is on my mind.’

I wonder who Maggie will choose to be her friend?
