Thankful Thursday (#33)

Isn't this magnificent? It arrived from Marianne yesterday.
It is a butterfly painted on a piece of rock that Marianne picked up herself on Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela was unfairly incarcerated for 28 years of his life). It is an intimate and personal gift and I shall cherish it forever. As Marianne said " Who knows, maybe Nelson stepped on this very piece of rock or even held it in his hands". What a heartwarming thought. Than you so very very much, you are a real darling. And look at these amazing cards that accompanied the rock.
Another two pieces of art were sold, one to Cat (thanx cool mama x2) and to Betty in Australia.
I would also like to thank the artysoulsisters:
Lolo
Lisa
Mim
Lynn
Suki
Marianne
Caroline and
Kate
who are producing some amazingly inventive and talented pages. I love having you all along with me on this journey. Thank you friends. xx

that rock just resonates love and positive energy. Hurrah for selling two paintings. That's so great they have found a new home. And thanks for the thanks re: us Soulsisters. Actually I mistakenly posted my latest pages to the soulsisters site and the had to take them off as they were in the Girlfriend's round robin. I wrote to you on my blog but in case you didnt go back and look your Girlfriend's book is now on it's way to Karen C. She will then send to Katie Jane. Katie Jane will then send it back to you!! So just 2 more pages and it's done!!!!!

I am so happy you like my rock!
It has been on my desk for a long time. When I picked it up I saw inmediately the butterfly I wanted to paint on it and I knew it would be flying your way one day!

Love you!
