Isn't this magnificent? It arrived from Marianne yesterday.
It is a butterfly painted on a piece of rock that Marianne picked up herself on Robben Island (where Nelson Mandela was unfairly incarcerated for 28 years of his life). It is an intimate and personal gift and I shall cherish it forever. As Marianne said " Who knows, maybe Nelson stepped on this very piece of rock or even held it in his hands". What a heartwarming thought. Than you so very very much, you are a real darling.
