Six Word Saturday

Kabocha squash
One of my favourite!

Having been a vegetarian for the past 33 years, I love almost all fruits (except kiwi and guavas), and almost all vegetables (except peppers).

But my favourite veggie of all times, is the Kabocha squash (a pumpkin really), and although I enjoy most pumpkins, when this one comes into season, I buy more than one at a time!

(Yes, this is really a photo of a corner of my kitchen.)

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and remember:

I'm not a vegetarian but, I like to eat my veggies! Those kabocha squash look interesting. Do they taste more like pumpkins or squash? : )

I've never had kabocha. I hated squash when I was a kid, but have grown to like it. I have an acorn squash for dinner tomorrow. Enjoy.

No wonder you look so healthy!!!
I had to laugh when I saw this as I had just taken photos of a butternut squash I cooked this week and was planning on posting it on my blog soon. ;-) Never eaten a kabocha squash before but bet' I'd love it. Will look for them at the store next visit.

A very healthy looking corner of your kitchen. We have a spot on our counter too full of fruts and tomatoes and what ever else we buy that week. :)

They taste more like a pumpkin than a squash, sweet and very filling- like potato.

Fun and educational post Joss.
Isn't pumpkin a popular dish in Africa?

I haven't had a kabocha in years! Yum Yum. Now I want some with dinner. They aren't in season here, too bad.

I wish I like vegetables more. When I was a child I hated them all...now, I like most of them, but I don't think I would be able to go vegetarian. I've never had a kabocha, but I love pumpkins, especially pumpkin pie!

That squash is a new one to me but it looks interesting. I'm on a squash kick right now since it's that time of year. My husband is obsessed with all things pumpkin. We recently had an amazing spaghetti squash. And tonight, I'm making butternut squash. Mmm, bring on the squash!
